A little about me

​I am a silicone baby, born and brought up in the Silicone Valley so I have always been surrounded by amazing tech. My environment greatly influenced my interested in computer science by allowing me to see the huge potential that it has. It was not until my senior year of high school that I took a biology class and garnered interest in seeing how I could bridge computer science and biology. Further research led me to bioinformatics which is just what I was looking for.

I am dedicated to my research in behavioral genetics at the Palmer Lab at UCSD. There I study behavioral genetics and try to gain insight into both health and disease. I am very interested in how genes can influence behavior and thus ultimately tell us why certain behaviors can be encoded in one's genome. ​

In my free time, I like to hike, read, and go on adventures. I am extremely fond of the outdoors and will always take the opportunity to go outdoors and take some time to appreciate the beauty outside. I also love to read books in my free time as it expands my vocabulary and takes me on an adventure from wherever I am.
